In 2011 Czech contractor Vítkovice Power Engineering (VPE) started construction of a new power plant in Turkey, which is one of the biggest turnkey projects ever undertaken by the company. The project, financed by the Czech Export Bank, is part of a development plan initiated by the Turkish government and the Ministry of Energy of Turkey to expand the country’s energy production capacity.
VPE involved Colt right from the early stages of design to provide a ventilation system for the boiler room and turbine hall. Colt FCO louvred wall ventilators and EuroCO smoke ventilators were identified as the best solution for the project.
The Colt team in Prague provided support to the contractor throughout the design phase of the project. To ensure the final quality and functionality of the system, Petr Bína of Colt Prague trained the local installers on site before assembly and subsequently checked the installation once it was completed.
