Shadoglass glass louvre solar shading system

Shadoglass is a fixed or controllable external glass louvre solar shading system that may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. It is also suitable either as a primary or secondary facade element for ventilation. A Shadoglass system can reduce solar heat gain, lower air conditioning running costs whilst maximising the use of natural daylight. Shadoglass is well suited to many different applications, from façades to glazed roofs. The louvre spans depends on structural considerations and the type of louvre blade selected.

  • A wide range of louvres – Shadoglass louvres are available in various colours, surface finishes and coatings to meet specific design requirements. Depending on the chosen type of glass, frit or film, the desired transmission of light and/or heat radiation can be accurately achieved for every specific application. Shadometal aluminium shading system

Shadometal is a fixed or controllable fabricated aluminium louvre solar shading system that may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. A Shadometal system can reduce solar heat gain, lower air conditioning running costs. Shadometal is well suited to many different applications, from façades to glazed roofs. The louvre spans depends on structural considerations and the type of louvre blade selected.

Ellisse sliding or folding solar shading panel system

Ellisse is a sliding or folding solar shading panel system designed for installation onto the façade. It offers a versatile and practical solution to managing solar radiation and aiding privacy, whilst adding a modern architectural aesthetic. The louvres and frames are operated either manually or by an electric actuator within a continuously sliding rail which is available in virtually any size. They can also be automated by a Colt sun tracking system.

  • A wide range of system types - Ellisse can slide, hinge vertically, hinge horizontally or stay static. A wide range of louvre types are available, including extruded or sheet aluminium, Western red cedar or glass. The louvres inside the frames are able to be turned to a maximum of 85° by hand.
  • Robust - Ellisse is made from high grade aluminium and stainless steel and if the louvres and frames are operable, they are pivoted in UV-stable bushes and rollers. The system is designed to compensate for thermal expansion and is low in maintenance.

Solar C fixed brise soleil solar shading system

Solar C is a simple and effective fixed aluminium C-section brise soleil solar shading system designed to reduce heat gains and glare. It is positioned around or above windows.

It offers architects and contractors a versatile and practical solution to managing solar radiation, whilst adding a modern architectural aesthetic.

Fixed brise soleil devices such as Solar C are most effective on facades where it is possible both to reduce the amount of high angle sun in the summer, but also to allow low angle sun in the winter, which can then provide some passive solar heating.

  • Versatile - Solar C can be mounted above or in front of windows and, as with all Colt solar shading systems, the louvres can also be mounted around corners and curves. This, combined with the various angles at which the system can be installed, ensures that the shade created is always optimal. The versatility of the system, with respect to dimensions and colours, offers many design alternatives.
  • High light transmission, low heat transmission - Unlike conventional 'Z' shaped blades, which reduce both direct and diffused light, the Solar C blade is designed to be particularly effective at controlling solar heat gain while allowing a large proportion of diffused light through the blade.

Solarfin extruded aluminium shading system

Colt Solarfin is a fixed or moveableexternal solar shading system made from aluminium extrusions designed to reduce heat gains and glare in summer and reduce heat loss in winter.

Solarfin may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. It can be either fixed or moveable.

Shadovoltaic photovoltaic louvre solar shading system

Shadovoltaic is an external fixed or moveable photovoltaic solar shading louvre system, designed to reduce heat gains and glare whilst maximising the use of natural daylight, and generating electricity by means of integrated photovoltaic (PV) cells.

PV cells are integrated into the glass of the shading louvres, either by attaching them to the reverse side of the glass panels or by laminating them between two sheets of glass.

Like Shadoglass, Shadovoltaic may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. It can be either fixed or controllable.

Shadotex textile solar shading system

Shadotex is a fixed or controllable external textile solar shading system that may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. It consists of a fabric stretched between two sides of a louvre support frame which can create attractive diffused light within the building, as well as provide effective solar shading. 

  • Many options - Shadotex is well suited to many different applications, from façades to glazed roofs.  Such a louvre system can be positioned either horizontally or vertically.
  • Lightweight and allowing big spans - Shadotex can be given additional strength by coating the fabric in a special resin which dries hard. This type of product is extremely lightweight which allows large spans to be constructed without the need for additional supporting framework. Shadotimber external wooden louvre shading system

Shadotimber is a fixed or controllable wooden louvre shading system that may be installed either vertically or horizontally in front of the façade or on the roof. A Shadotimber system can reduce solar heat gain, lower air conditioning running costs. Louvre spans depend on structural considerations and the type of louvre blade selected.

Shadotimber consists of a system generally of rectangular or aerofoil profile blades made from either Canadian Western Red Cedar or European Larch set within a rectangular framework. Shadotimber is a sustainably sourced product well suited to many modern buildings.
