Den Haag Centraal railway station has been completely renewed and now provides an interchange where all modes of public transport converge.

Colt supplied a huge glass roof covering a total area of approximately 11,000 m² for this building. This comprises 218 tulip shaped modules, each measuring 6.5m x 6.5m and 28 diamond shaped modules. Each module comprises four Firelight flap ventilators.

Colt has a strong track record in designing and installing all manner of customised glass roofs and façades and integrating smoke and heat exhaust ventilators neatly into them. For this project, we went a step further in providing glazed ventilators specially designed to suit the needs of the building.

Mr Kor Foekens, Commercial Director of Colt International BV says, "Strukton Construction’s decision to award this project to Colt hinged on our specialist knowledge of these specific kinds of structures, extensive experience in projects of this scale and complexity, and our strong financial position."
