Colt earns place in The Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 league table

Apr 2011

This listing recognizes Colt's performance, which places it among Britain's leading mid-market private companies that have shown strong profit growth over three years.

Colt joins a host of well-known brands in receiving this recognition for its performance and positive contribution to the economy. Colt achieved a 50.6% growth in profits per year over the three years to 2009, which increased from £2.1m in 2006 to £7.2m in 2009, putting it in 76th place in the league table.

Colt has maintained a profitable performance in all its traditional markets, building on its excellent reputation, and proving its resilience through the recent economic downturn. The company's policy of controlled expansion has continued to develop successfully, as Colt has entered new markets and secured involvement in major projects around the world.

Suzi Woolfson, Partner working Private Businesses at PwC, the title sponsor of the league table for the twelfth year, commented:

“It's great to see so many privately-owned companies delivering sustained profit growth and making such a positive contribution to the economy. These 100 companies had combined profits of £1.2bn and show how private businesses and their owners can help drive economic growth and development in the UK.”
