Apollo roof ventilator

Apollo provides ventilation for both day-to-day use and smoke control. It can be installed in most types of industrial buildings.

  • Wide range of applications - Apollo is classed as a dual purpose ventilator, providing both day to day and smoke control ventilation. Apollo is generally installed onto roofs providing high level extract. Polycarbonate versions allow the entry of natural daylight. Either pneumatic or electric controls are available.
  • Efficient and weather resistant - Apollo is aerodynamically efficient. The sealing system consists of EPDM profiles which keep air leakage down to a minimum. Where ventilation is required in all weathers, please refer to the Apollo ATI.

Apollo ATI weathered roof ventilator

Apollo ATI provides natural, day-to-day weathered ventilation and smoke control. The Apollo ATI extract ventilation system provides extract ventilation for most kinds of industrial buildings. Polycarbonate versions allow the entry of natural daylight. Longitudinal flaps provide ventilation when the weather is wet.

Apollo Mono provides extract ventilation and daylight entry for all kinds of industrial buildings and warehouses.

Apollo Mono is installed onto roofs providing high level extract. Its polycarbonate flap allows the entry of natural daylight. Either pneumatic (for dual purpose) or electric controls (for day to day ventilation only) are available.
  • Efficient and weather resistant - Apollo Mono is aerodynamically efficient. The sealing system consists either of EPDM profiles or brush seals which keep air leakage down to a minimum.
  • Durable – The Apollo Mono flap is manufactured from tough, corrosion resistant aluminium with stainless steel hinges. Tested and certified as fall-through-proof in 300J and 1200J tests by an external test house.
  • Large opening angle – Apollo Mono opens to 165º which permits it to exceed the requirements of EN 12101-2 for this kind of product.
  • Certified performance - Apollo Mono has been exhaustively tested and certified to EN 12101-2: 2003 in accredited third party test laboratories and is CE marked.
  • High acoustic performance – A sound reduction of up to 24.0 dB (R’w) may be achieved.

Firelight glazed ventilator

Firelight has high aerodynamic, acoustic and thermal performance, providing extract ventilation for most kinds of industrial and commercial buildings. It is particularly suited for installation into glazing systems.

  • A wide range of applications - Firelight is classed as a dual purpose ventilator, providing both day to day and natural smoke ventilation. Polycarbonate and glass ventilation versions allow the entry of natural daylight, and a wide range of infill panels are available.
  • High performance - Firelight has high aerodynamic, acoustic and thermal performance, and has a high resistance to the effects of fire. For instance, its wide opening flap means that its aerodynamic performance is high. Its high thermal insulation means that potential condensation is minimised. Its low U-value and extremely low air permeability means that it is very energy efficient. 
  • Proven performance - Firelight has been exhaustively tested and certified to EN 12101-2: 2003 in accredited third party test laboratories and is CE marked. In addition Firelight FL3 has been tested and is certified according to EN 14351, which guarantees its performance as a window.
  • Easy to install - Firelight is delivered fully assembled to site and may be installed at any angle from the horizontal to the vertical (0 to 110 degrees) onto a curb, into sheeting or into glazing. It has a wide range of base profiles to suit most sheeting, curb or glazing applications.
  • Durable - Firelight is manufactured from tough, corrosion resistant aluminium grade 6063-T6 alloy, with stainless steel fixings.

Firelight Duo double flap glazed ventilator

Firelight Duo provides high performance extract ventilation for most kinds of industrial and commercial buildings, and has been designed with the ever more stringent demands of the Energy Performance in Buildings directive in mind. 

  • Wide range of applications- Firelight Duo is classed as a dual purpose ventilation system, providing both day to day, smoke control and acoustic ventilation. Both polycarbonate and glass versions allow the entry of natural daylight, and a wide range of infill panels are available, including a reduced noise panel for acoustic ventilation.
  • Pneumatic or electric linear drives are available. Depending on the size, type and weight of the flaps, controls can be mounted either on a central traverse control channel or onto brackets within the central rain channel.
  • High performance including acoustic ventilation - Firelight Duo has high aerodynamic, acoustic and thermal performance, and has a high resistance to the effects of fire.
  • Acoustic vent performance - The Firelight Duo acoustic vent offers a reduced noise panel with a performance of R’w 49 dB.
  • Thermal performance - Firelight Duo is thermally broken and has five high grade continuous EPDM and TPE seals, two which seal the panels into the lids and three between the lids and the frame. As a result there is very low air leakage and a low U-value.
  • Proven performance - Firelight Duo has been exhaustively tested and certified to EN 12101-2: 2003 in accredited third party test laboratories and is CE marked.
  • In addition to this the Firelight Duo has been tested in accordance with typical window and door standards:
    • EN 12207: Air permeability
    • EN 12208: Water tightness

Kameleon casement facade ventilator

Kameleon 5 is a natural casement ventilator for installation into the vertical for both day to day and smoke ventilation. Its form and function makes it particularly suited to naturally ventilated buildings where good aerodynamic and measured free area ventilation is required while achieving high acoustic, thermal and aerodynamic performance. Typical applications for facade ventilation are hospitals, schools, shopping centres, apartments and commercial buildings.

  • A wide range of applications – Kameleon 5 is classed as a dual purpose ventilator, providing both day to day and smoke control ventilation. It can also be installed either for low level air inlet or for high level extract. Glass versions allow the entry of natural daylight, and a wide range of infill panels are available. Options include pneumatic or electronic controls, as well as a variety of finishes. There are two different flap profile types, depending on the required appearance and performance of the ventilator.
  • High performance - Kameleon 5 has high aerodynamic, acoustic and thermal performance, and also has a high resistance to the effects of fire. Both flap and base frames have thermal breaks. See the product options page for further details.
  • Proven performance – All versions of Kameleon 5 have been exhaustively tested and certified to EN 12101-2: 2003 as dual purpose ventilators in accredited third party test laboratories and are CE marked. The ventilator is also CE marked to EN 14351-1, which guarantees its performance as a façade element.
  • High performance in a fire – Kameleon 5 is very suitable for protecting escape routes in places such as stairwells where it can act as an automatically opening ventilator (AOV), since it has high aerodynamic efficiency, opens quickly, and has a large opening.

Securex explosion relief ventilator

Securex is an explosion relief ventilator which has been designed to minimise the effects of an explosion on the structure of a building. It rapidly opens and thereby dissipates excess internal pressure caused by that explosion. 

  • Exhaustively tested - Securex has been successfully explosion relief tested by the German DMT Institute for Explosion Protection, Dortmund.
  • Simple in operation and components
    • Simple locking - In the closed position the lid is locked closed by a stainless steel bolt and two spring pins which are designed to release the lid at a pressure of 16 mbar or above.
    • Base - The base and flange are manufactured out of high-quality aluminium alloy (EN AW-3005 H14). The flange can be adapted to the requirements of the installation.
    • Lid - The lid consists of an all-round extrusion made from aluminium alloy into which is fitted a clear or opaque polycarbonate panel which can be either 10 or 16 mm thick. The lid is fastened with stainless steel hinges to the base.
    • Arresting ropes - Elastic polyamide ropes arrest the opening movement of the lid so as to avoid it damaging the unit when it opens. Once a visual check for damage has been carried out, the unit can be closed manually and then it is fully functioning once again.
  • Easy to install - Securex ventilators can be installed onto flat roofs, into walls or onto sloping surfaces from the horizontal to the vertical. If the ventilator is to be assembled onto steel frames the flange can be prefabricated. The design of the unit makes for a trouble-free installation.
  • Durable - Securex is manufactured from tough, corrosion resistant aluminium alloy, with stainless steel fixings.

SiteGuard anti-fall through guard

The SiteGuard safety guard has been developed to prevent a person from falling through a natural ventilator. SiteGuard is suitable both for new installations and for retrofits. It has been exhaustively third party tested to the latest regulations.

  • Reliable safety - Thanks to its sophisticated lattice structure, SiteGuard can absorb the high forces placed on it by a person falling onto it due to its special design. Should a person fall onto the guard, the forces generated are absorbed by it and they are not transferred onto the building structure.
  • Third party tested - SiteGuard has been tested in accordance with the GS-Bau 18 standard. GS Bau is one of the main professional associations which tests building elements for their ability to prevent people from falling through such elements. The testing regime includes the examination and assessment of the sustainability of components and glazing.
  • Exceeds current regulations - GS- Bau 18 requires a successful dissipation of ≥ 300 joules of energy. SiteGuard has undergone tests to 600 joules in accordance with GS-Bau-18. As a result there is a safety factor of 2 which takes care of the tolerances of the materials used.
  • Several different installation options - Its low weight and its fixing system enable it to be easily installed.
  • Fits all Colt smoke ventilators
  • Aerodynamic performance is unaffected - It has been proven that fitting a SiteGuard into a ventilator throat has no negative impact on the aerodynamic performance of the natural ventilator installed above it, thus there is no loss of EN12101-2 certification.

Weatherlite ventilated upstand

A Weatherlite ventilated upstand is fitted under a roof-mounted natural ventilator to provide weathered extract ventilation through two controllable side dampers irrespective of the weather.

  • High performance - Weatherlite is aerodynamically efficient and has a high resistance to weather.
  • Insulated panels option – Weatherlite (including its dampers) can be fitted with insulated panels to reduce heat losses.
  • Other options - Where only weathered ventilation is required, Weatherlite is also available without controls with a sheet metal top section. In this instance no rooftop ventilator is supplied. Bird guards and fly screens are also available.
  • Easy to install - Weatherlite is delivered fully assembled to site and may be installed at any angle from the horizontal to 45⁰. It has a wide range of base profiles to suit all sheeting, curb or glazing applications.
  • Durable - Weatherlite is manufactured from tough, corrosion resistant aluminium alloy, grade 3005 in accordance with EN 573-3, with stainless steel fixings. Louvres pivot on double nylon UV- resistant bearings. It requires very little maintenance.
