CoolStream S provides low-cost adiabatic / evaporative cooling and ventilation principally for larger industrial and commercial premises, and has been hygienically tested and certified to VDI 6022. CoolStream S helps keep larger internal spaces pleasantly cool all year round. It doesn’t need to cost the earth: using the cooling power of water, it’s possible to achieve low energy cooling.
CoolStream S is especially suited to those buildings which require a cost-effective cooling system for larger spaces, whether industrial or commercial, which do not require an absolutely constant internal temperature at all times.
It is especially effective for conditioning areas which produce a fair degree of heat. Its applications are very wide and include plastics, metal and food industries, warehouses, data centres, transformer buildings, exhibition halls and shopping malls. In addition, CoolStream can be used for air humidification, for example in the paper and printing industry. Heat is normally removed at high level via natural ventilators, providing a pleasant temperature at the working area.
The alternative Coolstream N combines the principle of evaporative cooling with natural ventilation, which is particularly suitable for use in heat intensive industries.
CoolStream N provides low-cost adiabatic / evaporative cooling and ventilation principally for larger industrial premises with higher heat loads, such as power generation plants and other heat intensive industries.
CoolStream N helps keep larger internal spaces cool all year round. It doesn’t need to cost the earth: using the cooling power of water, it’s possible to achieve low energy cooling. Since it uses natural ventilation, no energy is consumed to power fans. However if it is necessary to boost the air flow and cooling capacity from time to time, optioned EC fans can be integrated into the system.
CoolStream N is based on CoolStream S technology. CoolStream S provides an alternative means of evaporative cooling by using fans to create the air flow.

CoolStream R is suitable for the air conditioning of larger industrial, semi-industrial and commercial spaces. It is a "plug and play unit", developed and manufactured by Colt and supplied ready for connection to services. Cooling, heating, heat reclaim, air filtration and ventilation are all combined within one unit.
The fact that it is installed on the roof saves large amounts of space inside. There are various filter classes and types of heaters (hot water, gas or electric) with different power levels to choose from. As a result it can be configured to meet the requirements of many kinds of projects.
How the CoolStream R “all seasons” unit works:
The Coltair industrial air conditioning unit is a mechanical air supply system which brings fresh outdoor air through the roof or the facade of the building.
Internal air can be mixed with this outdoor air or it can be completely re-circulated, or fresh air introduced to the working area below. Where heating is required, the supply air is reheated by an additional heating coil. Where cooling is required, this is normally achieved by combining it with a Colt Coolstream evaporative cooling system.
The Coltair industrial air conditioning unit is well suited to industries such as plastics, metal or food, or for installation in warehouses and retail sheds. It is also well suited for combining with a Colt Coolstream evaporative cooling system as an air input unit.
Caloris is a water source heat pump system with de-centralised local control. It provides both heating and cooling within a compact unit with low running costs. It is particularly well suited to health buildings, offices and hotels.
It can be part of a hybrid system that switches automatically from natural to mechanical means of conditioning the space, depending on the conditions or season of the year, thereby reducing energy costs.
Liberator extracts smoke and hot gases in the event of a fire. It is suited to most industrial and commercial buildings and can provide both day to day and smoke ventilation. It fulfills the time/temperature requirements of EN 12101-3, achieving F200 (200°C/120 min), F300 (300°C/60 min) and F400 (400°C/ 120 min) in accordance with EN 12101-3.
Tornado is designed to deal with localised air quality and overheating problems as well as to provide general comfort control. It is suited to most industrial and commercial building and is available in two sizes in both 50 and 60 Hz versions. Tornado produces airflows of between 1.5 m³/s and 5.5 m³/s. Its noise output ranges from 48 to 68 dB(A) at 3m. An optional non-return shutter opens when the fan is in use and closes when the fan stops running. The ventilator can be orientated at any angle from the horizontal to the vertical.
