Colt required by the customer to design, supply, install and commission all manner of ventilation equipment for smoke control, day to day ventilation and explosion relief for the turbine hall, control room and gas compression chamber.

EuroCO natural roof ventilators are installed on top of Weatherlite ventilated upstands for high-capacity permanent ventilation in all weathers. FCO natural façade ventilators and Tristar air handling units with heater batteries provide tempered inlet air, and all the ventilation systems have attenuators fitted.

Securex explosion relief ventilators provide automatic protection in the event of an explosion or overpressure.

Colt designed a pneumatic controls complete with a rain sensor system to ensure that the ventilators close in case of rain.
